LOCTITE® 232 is an opaque brown, medium-strength retaining compound with lubricating properties perfect for assembly of cylindrical parts that involve heavy interference fits or threaded components that require high assembly torque. This medium-viscosity methacrylate ester acrylic liquid prevents galling and pick-up during disassembly and eliminates joint corrosion while increasing dismounting forces. It cures slowly when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting surfaces.
